PITCH COURSE FOR ARTISTS: INSPIRE WITH WHAT YOU DO!

PITCH is a two-month intensive course for artists organized by Studio ALTA and PerformCzech / Institute of Arts – Theatre Institute with the aim to deepen communication and presentation skills of artists, to get acquainted with the principles of the PITCH format, to engage and inspire with your project. Participating artists can use the acquired knowledge and skills to actively contact producers, dramaturgs, or promoters.

Pitching is a method of presenting a project to the public so that it uses its full potential to inspire, generate interest and attention. It is used globally in independent and commercial fields, in cultural and other areas.

28.5. 2022 | 15:00-18:00 | ARTISTS versus VENUES: Analysis of Needs | TEH Conference, Studio ALTA

Moderated meetings between a group of artists and representatives of European venues with a goal to create an environment for sharing of what artists need/expect from cultural venues and, conversely, what cultural venues need/expect from artists. These conversations will help increase understanding between artists and cultural organisations.

13.-17.3. 2022  | FOLLOWERS GROUP | International Festival Oslo

An international group of artists who participate on independent artistic scene in the Czech Republic and Norway together observed and reflected on the programme of the International Festival Oslo. From 13 to 17 March 2022, a temporary platform called FOLLOWERS GROUP, led by Czech art curator Petr Dlouhý, shared experiences from local and international environments and created a space for both a critical discussion about the festival’s program system from a perspective of artists and organisers and a reflection on presented art projects. The goal of this artistic exchange was to strengthen an understanding and ability of artists to carry critical reflection, and examine the process of artistic programming and reflection on work of artists in a broader international context.
