Two partner cultural organizations with many years of experience, a similar history, pace, and working style are formally coming together for the first time on a project focused on creating opportunities and professional experience for students of art schools and recent graduates.

Together with our Slovak partner, STANICA ŽILINA-ZÁRIEČIE, we are developing the Roots & Shoots project in 2024–2025 – connecting experience to enhance employment opportunities for young people in the field of performing arts.

Both we and our Slovak partner are engaged in contemporary dance and theater, involving young creators in our activities. We strive to stay current, keep pace with the evolving artistic landscape, and listen to the needs of the art scene. That is why we focus not only on presenting works but also on nurturing the next generation of creators and bridging the gap between their education and professional practice. We are building an audience for contemporary dance and performing arts while strengthening young people’s interest in these artistic disciplines.

As part of the Roots & Shoots program at Studio ALTA, we support and implement student and graduate residencies, facilitate the creation and presentation of works by young artists, and develop an informal education program for young artists through the CULTIVATOR – ARTIST TO ARTIST platform.

The project is supported by the ERASMUS+ Small-scale Partnerships in Youth program.
