Information

We invite you to the closing meeting and presentation of the Artist to Artist (AtoA) platform, which creates a space for sharing practices, experiences, and knowledge within the contemporary independent performing arts scene. The meeting will offer an opportunity to reflect together on the past year, share experiences from individual meetings, and explore questions related to the platform’s future form and functioning.

This year’s edition was facilitated by Ester Hauser Trčková, Petra Hanzlíková, and Filip Novák, who, together with the participants, explored ways to share their own artistic practices, identify the challenges of the contemporary art scene, and consider possibilities for collaboration within the independent scene. During five meetings held at various arts institutions, participants exchanged experiences, shared artistic processes, and collaboratively sought tools for more sustainable operation within the arts community.

The final moderated meeting is open to the general public interested in community building, sharing artistic practice, and the issues facing the contemporary art scene. Together, we will look back on this year’s edition and reflect on how AtoA can function in the future. The meeting will also offer a space for informal sharing and spending time with colleagues from the arts community.

The program will include:

– an introduction to the principles of the Artist to Artist platform,

– sharing experiences from this year’s participants,

– brainstorming about the future of AtoA,

– opportunities for discussion, networking, and informal sharing

About the Artist to Artist Platform

Artist to Artist is a platform for independent artists, artistic groups, and other professionals active in the performing arts scene to come together. It creates a space for mutual learning, sharing practical experience and knowledge, open discussion, and collaborative work within the group.

These gatherings offer new perspectives on issues arising from artistic practice while also providing a space to openly discuss the uncertainties and challenges associated with the Czech arts scene. The platform’s goal is to learn from one another, explore ways to improve the working environment, and support the long-term sustainability of artistic practice.

The program was launched in 2023 on the initiative of Studio ALTA and offers a space for mutual learning, sharing, and support among members of the artistic community. The platform is part of Studio ALTA’s broader KULTIVÁTOR framework, which focuses on transforming the functioning and practices of cultural institutions.

You can find more information about this year’s edition on the Kultivator 2026 page.

This program is Parent-Friendly.

We offer free childcare during the program. It is important to us that people with diverse life experiences come together in the audience, and we know that access to live cultural events is often difficult for parents of young children. If you are interested in childcare, please let us know on the registration form (link below). Through the Parent-Friendly Culture program, we strive to at least partially break down the various barriers that exist within our society, allowing parents to enjoy an undisturbed theater experience and participate directly in cultural events.
