Since last Thursday we have been gradually waking up into a new world, a world full of open wounds that will not heal. We wake up with questions about how to continue our daily activities and find meaning in it, we try to find direction in our capacity to express solidarity, how to help and whom to help, and we go to bed at night with unsettling thoughts about what the next day will bring.
As a cultural centre we wish to open a space for sharing our concerns and uncertainties, as well as hopes. We wish to focus our attention to what’s happening in Ukraine and Russia and also to ourselves, our loved ones and those in distance.

Join us on Friday 4 March for Stand With Ukraine, a community gathering where we can support each other.
From 17:00 – 20:00 a series of short performances, statements, readings, and interventions by artists from Studio ALTA community will take place. We will also coordinate donations for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Please consider donating the following much needed items:
Mattresses, pillows, blankets, covers, sleeping mats, sleeping bags, instant food, biscuits and crackers, can food, nuts, chocolate, baby food / milk, apple and other fruit sauces, towels, electric kettles, cord extensions, powerbanks / fully charged if possible, baby diapers, any bedding, hygiene items / soap, hair shampoo, toothpastes, toothbrushes, feminine products – pads and tampons, wipes, paper towels, disinfection, flashlights and lamps, batteries, candles, chargers, socks.
The whole donation will be handed over to the organization ADRA who will transport it to the Ukrainian border on Saturday 5 March.
The donation is organized in collaboration with the organization Bar/ák.
