Information
“Hydra” is a performative sculpture project, where Murano crystals become a restrictive apparatus that allows certain actions and particular movements. The creative process of two artists: Benjamin Podoba and Sergio Patricio use Murano glass as the medium between both to merge their practices and reflections. Glass as an eco-friendly material is activated in 10-15 min. long slow motion sequence of movements and actions.

Sergio Patricio’s transdisciplinary practice blends exploratory scientific methods of observation, artivism, contemporary philosophy and scenographies with video, live actions, and other performative media. With an emphasis on how collective bodies interconnect by something he calls “connection-ship”. Patricio makes connections with any possible bodies around, in proximity to, or involved in their lives with the project’s ideas and situations upon which he focuses. Patricio, through a collaborative journey approach, multiple goals to reach together and a series of specificities related to the context where ideas are located, invites others into an ongoing personal reflection and “self-dialogue” about the collective and individual bodies

Pay What You Can
In 2021 all events at Studio ALTA were free. In 2022 we are introducing a new pricing system – Pay What You Can – which will allow you to choose to pay for your ticket an amount you can afford.
Tickets for each event now feature a suggested amount, giving you access to performances at ALTA for a lower price. Great! If you can pay more, you will help others pay less. We don’t wish to judge nor stigmatise but create a space for mutual solidarity and make culture accessible.
The Pay What You Can system is inspired by similar systems used by Theater, Atelier 210 in Belgium, and Battersea Arts Centre in London.
