✨WHAT CAN YOU LOOK FORWARD TO…✨

… WITH SÁRA BALABÁNOVÁ? 🌟

We’ll begin with a slow calming of the nervous system and gradually warm up the body. This will help integrate and connect everything that the body has accumulated over the past weeks. Gradually, we’ll transition from movement to dance, allowing us to release everything that no longer needs to be held.

Sára Balabánová is a dance movement therapist in training (within the Moving Self Institute). She focuses on the development of creative psychohygiene. For the past two years, she has been part of a scholarship program supported by the Vlček Family Foundation, exploring the connection between dance movement therapy and the movement language of Gaga. She has been actively involved in the development of perinatal palliative care in the Czech Republic, as well as crisis intervention and counseling in healthcare and social services.

… WITH MARKÉTA RICHTEROVÁ? 🌟

The Feldenkrais Method is a gentle yet profound way of working with the body, movement and attention. Through simple movement lessons, one discovers new movement possibilities, greater ease, flexibility, coordination and body awareness. The sessions are suitable for everyone regardless of age, physical condition or previous movement experience. It is not about performance, doing things correctly or pushing your limits. It is about curiously exploring how we can move more freely, with less effort and greater joy.

Markéta Richterová is a graduate of the Theatre Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, studying acting at the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre. She is an internationally accredited Feldenkrais Method teacher, having completed a four-year training at the Feldenkrais Institut Wien. She also teaches the Feldenkrais Method at DAMU, where she shares it with acting students. Having grown up in Vienna, she has moved between different cultures, languages and artistic environments since childhood. As an actress, she sees the body as an everyday tool for creation, expression and discovery.

… WITH TOMÁŠ JANYPKA?  🌟

The session will focus on a playful approach to creation through somatic wellness and improvisational practice. We will explore both solo body work and partner interaction. Tomáš Janypka places emphasis on body awareness, spontaneity and the development of creativity in movement.

Tomáš Janypka is a performer and physical theatre maker dedicated to exploring live performative arts with an emphasis on a bodily and conscious approach to creation. In his work he focuses on intimate inner processes and their relationship to society, seeking ways to create a shared space for creativity and dialogue. He graduated in Physical Theatre from JAMU and works as an independent artist and member of the collective ZDRUHESTRANY. As a performer and co-author he has been involved in projects including Nové Sady (with Martin Hodonň), song lines: expedition 98/18 (with Sabina Bočková), Eight Cups and The Devil (with Roberta Legros), A to je zakázáno? (with Jazmína Piktorová and Markéta Stránská), and the solo Lonesome COWBOY, which received a broader nomination for the Thalia Awards 2024. He has collaborated with artists such as Antoinette Helbing, Jaro Viňarský, Sonja Pregrad, Daniel Gulko, Hele Bach and collectives tYhle and mimoOs, as well as musicians and visual artists including Ivan Palacký, Tomáš Vtípil, Slávka Ondrušová and Dana Tomečková. He also works as a dramaturg and organiser of the IMMEDIATUS BIENNALE festival in Brno, and teaches at DAMU in the Devised and Object Theatre and Alternative and Puppet Theatre programmes.
