Is it magic or illusion?

Imagine the Invalidovna’s west wing as a castle (mysterious, eerie?). Now you can explore it at your own pace, room by room. The surprises and bizarre elements awaiting you might perhaps exceed your everyday understanding of things.

Fall down to the world of imagination as a way to escape your troubles and fulfil your daring desires. You will become an object of a surreal picture.

The Cabinet of Curiosities’ special edition is created by a team of brave artistic creatures using a safe space to share their intimate works that defy daily realities and challenge the established order.

In this peculiar event we unlock Invalidovna’s door, waking it up from its winter dormancy, to allow our audiences to peek inside into its secluded places and see them from different perspectives.

The entire space will be open on 11 and 12 February, 18:00 – 21:00.

Pay What You Can

In 2021 all events at Studio ALTA were free. In 2022 we are introducing a new pricing system – Pay What You Can – which will allow you to choose to pay for your ticket an amount you can afford.

Tickets for each event now feature a suggested amount, giving you access to performances at ALTA for a lower price. Great! If you can pay more, you will help others pay less. We don’t wish to judge nor stigmatise but create a space for mutual solidarity and make culture accessible.

The Pay What You Can system is inspired by similar systems used by  Theater, Atelier 210 in Belgium, and Battersea Arts Centre in London.
