Exhibition Opening: June 18, 7 p.m. 

Since the exhibition RE-? is the first project of the season we decided to dedicate it towards memories of last year’s beginnings in ALTA. With this topic, we are looking back to these days not in a nostalgic way, but with an idea that is tied to what began, how we want to continue and what we want to improve. The preposition “re” is always associated with the meaning of something that happens again or is used repeatedly. As this year’s reopening of Invalidovna is for us. However, nothing ever happens in the same way even though we undoubtedly have a feeling that we live in stereotype. We don’t! Just take a break, look around and perceive. Each installation or exhibited object will represent different word with the preposition “re”. The combination of these art pieces with the terminology will then create an interesting narrative that can recall different events or bring back our thoughts according to specific situations. The exhibition concept is reinforced also with the selection of exhibited artists because with them we as well collaborated last year. They are students of the Faculty of Art and Design at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem.
