ARTIST TO ARTIST: SHARING ARTISTIC PRACTICE

Are you looking for a platform where you can share your artistic practice without the pressure of self-presentation? Curious about what others are currently working on?

Artist to Artist is a regular peer-to-peer gathering for artists primarily working in the performing arts and related fields. Together, we share our practices, experiences, doubts, and the questions we are dealing with right now.

You can join once or return repeatedly – the level and form of participation is entirely up to you. This is not a workshop or a lecture by a single person, but a shared platform: each session is shaped by what participants want to open up and explore together.

WHY WAS ARTIST TO ARTIST CREATED?

-We support the artistic community – long-term connections, inspiration, and friendship.

-We create a safe space where we can spend time with others in the field without pressure for results.

-We aim to meet and connect, because artistic practice is often isolated within small teams or social bubbles.

-We want to train sharing as a skill and learn how to speak about our practice openly and with ease.

-We search for new perspectives and unexpected connections.

HOW DOES EACH MEETING WORK?

1.Check-in: introduction of participants

2.Warm-up & tune-in

3.Sharing: participants share their practice (each 5–30 min)

4.Reflection & feedback after each sharing

5.Check-out: what are you leaving with?

The meetings are facilitated by a team of three facilitators who hold the structure and keep time.

SHARING CAN TAKE MANY FORMS

You can bring any question from your creative work, an idea, a work-in-progress process, or an experiment. You might show a fragment of a performance, share movement, scenography, a theme that currently occupies you – or even something very practical you are dealing with right now.

This is not self-promotion or a polished presentation, but a space for trying, searching, and making mistakes. Contributions can have any length, and multiple people may share during one session

What matters is the willingness to share, ask questions, and be together in an open and safe environment, without pressure for an outcome.

If you are unsure what or how to share, feel free to reach out — contacts for the facilitation team are listed below.

WHO IS ARTIST TO ARTIST FOR?

The meetings are open to everyone working in the arts – choreographers, dancers, performers, actors, producers, and other creators in the field of performative art.

They are open regardless of the length of practice or professional experience. On the contrary, we see a diversity of backgrounds as a great benefit.

The aim of the platform is to create a vibrant group of people who can share perspectives, skills, and approaches to creation together. We believe that differences in artistic paths and experience are a valuable source of mutual learning and enrichment.
