This workshop will explore the empowering relationship between voice and movement. We will start each day with a vocal session to encourage a free and brave use of the voice – both in song and spoken word. This will lead into a daily, highly physical practice, which will be based on the philosophies of Flying Low and in particular the role of the voice, which drives the exploration of clarity, intention, power and physical detail. This exploration of voice and movement in the morning, will be followed by creative sessions in which we will look further at how the body can be sharpened as a tool of communication and storytelling. Improvisations and task based work will look deeper into the importance and detail of body language, intention and authenticity in performance. A playful, encouraging and honest environment will provide opportunities to discover, grow and access new areas of challenges and realisations – allowing us to be the most powerful we can be in performance.

Please bring comfortable clothing, kneepads and a note book.
