A dance theatre project about burial feasts, musing about souls, and satisfying our stomachs.
The Burial Feast is a project created by dancers Markéta Jandová and Jitka Tůmová in cooperation with Belarusian musician and accordionist Aliaksandr Yasisky.
Burial feasts are places to meet and muse about souls that leave their surrounding worlds. Burial feasts as any other feasts also satisfy our stomachs. That is natural and absurd at the same time. Burial feasts are full of symbols and we can consider them as exemplary social metaphor.
