Welcome in Jáchymov/Sankt Joachimsthal! This forgotten, cursed but also charming city helped the American dollar gain its strength, Marie Curie to win the Nobel Prize and the former Soviet Union to gain many bombs.
But Jáchymov doesn´t mean only great suffering, concentration camps or death by radiation, but also healing springs, scientific progress, winter sports, relax and international tourism. Dramaturge Guido Preuss and choreographer Karel Vaněk are therefore setting off on a search for the sources of power, in order to create a “dance monument” for Jáchymov.

Project was supported by Czech-German Future Fund.
