Information
This piece, as poetic as dark, unfolds like a defeated tale. It addresses the meeting of the other and of his great suffering and great wonders. A hallucinogenic world where one is never as alone as he thinks and where what the eyes do not see, exists. A constant sense of urgency. Hands up, for the trance, for the drum, yes, for it leads us to our final destination… Where we know we’ll know nothing.

Intangible creator, Clara Furley is a unique uncompromising artist. Trainer as a dancer and a pianist, her very theatrical music is influenced by Tori Amos and Björk as much as Nina Simone. In 2011, her Festival International de Jazz de Montreal show was sold-out! This very same year, she created Hello… How Are You? with Céline Bonnier at La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines. She also creates Night Will Come with Michikazu Matsune at the Worldmuseum of Vienna. From 2009 to 2012, she collaborates with Benoît Lachambre on many projects, such as Chutes Incandescentes. Since 2004, she danced with choreographers Claude Godin (Magnet-Mesc, Chuchotements), Georges Stamos (Réservoir pneumatic, Schatje and Kloak) and Danielle Desnoyers (Play it Again ! and Là où je vis). In 2011, she also takes part in Lady & Bird’s opera Red Waters directed by Arthur Nauzyciel and choreographed by Damien Jalet. She continued working with Damien Jalet and danced with him in 2013 at Musée du Louvre. Recently, Clara danced in the David Zambrano’s latest creation (Tierras Enamoradas), in Projet Hôtel de la 2ème porte à gauche, directed by Catherine Gaudet and Jérémie Niel, and in Daina Ashbee’s Pour. She also played in Guy Maddin’s last movie, The Forbidden Room.
