Information
In October, the Performance Bus will take us into the landscape of urban wilderness together with ecologist and botanist Albert Šturma. You can look forward to ecologically remarkable sites around Prague (Soutok, Pražská Pastvina, Hostivice Ponds) as well as inspiring ecologically engaged artistic practices. This edition of Performance Bus is organized in collaboration with the Bazaar Festival and the Prague Institute of Planning and Development.
At the confluence of the Vltava and Berounka rivers, architect Zdeněk Ent will guide us through the site of the planned peri-urban park Soutok, and during a sound walk with Kristýna Mikulková we will immerse ourselves in listening to the Symphony for the Berounka River.
We will visit Pražská Pastvina, where a performative picnic and walk by Heidi Hornáčková will guide us, concluding with a concert by the band Timber Rattle at the beehive.
At the dam of the Hostivice Ponds, we will enjoy a concert by Ian Mikyska, and in the former Ronna mine in Kladno we will visit an exhibition of objects by Tomáš Bělina. The journey will culminate with a botanical walk led by Albert Šturma and a Bush Worship Ceremony.
Lunch and dinner will be provided during the Performance Bus. Please bring cash.

The Performance Bus is a magical journey led by our driver Mr. Marcel, now in its eighth edition, but this time for the very first time venturing beyond the city of Prague. It is a vehicle (literally and metaphorically) for directing our attention to diverse independent platforms dedicated to performance art and cultural activities happening in different corners and hidden places of the Czech Republic. Each journey is an opportunity to form new friendships, live through adventures, and discover unique artistic practices in places where we might never have expected to find them.
