Information
We are Studio ALTA — a space for contemporary dance and performance in Prague. We have been active on the scene for 18 years, and in autumn 2026 we are entering a new phase with the opening of our newly renovated building in Libeň. At this stage, we are also looking for someone to collaborate with us long-term in the field of graphic design.
We are looking for someone who combines a creative approach with professionalism and responsibility. Someone who will get excited about ALTA and join us in exploring what kind of visual language best suits our events and different target audiences.
Please note — we are not looking for someone to create a completely new visual identity. We already have established core elements (logo, colour palette, website currently in development) that we want to continue working with and build upon.
What would you do with us?
– create visuals for our year-round artistic programme
– design graphics for individual programme blocks and events (from larger artistic events to community formats)
– adapt visuals across different formats and channels — both online and offline
– collaborate with the PR and programme team in shaping the visual direction for communicating with our target audiences
What is important to us?
We are looking for someone who is able to think within the broader context of communication, wants to build a long-term relationship with ALTA, and creatively develop its visual language.
– sensitivity to working with diverse target audiences through visual communication (Studio ALTA audiences, the professional arts community, students, people aged 55+, neighbours, queer people, and others)
– ability to work with different communication lines across our programme
– attention to detail and experience preparing print-ready files
– reliability and punctuality are essential for us
– willingness to be part of a long-term process
What do we offer?
– long-term freelance collaboration (IČO) — you will become our main graphic design collaborator
– workload depending on the current programme — usually 2–3 commissions per month, covering materials such as posters, banners, social media assets, advertisements, and other promotional materials for events

How will the selection process work?
In the first round, we will make our selection based on submitted references and portfolios. We will get back to you with our decision by June 7, 2026.
In the next round, selected applicants will be given a small paid task, compensated with a sketch fee.
