Information
MAMALAND is a research project in which dance artist Nastasja Štefanić Kralj explores what does it mean to be „a good mother“.
~~~
One part of the research is organizing meetings of moms who are also dance artists. At each meeting, mothers deal with a specific topic related to motherhood, such as my body and my dance before and after childbirth, the issue of overload, time for yourself, tips on how to raise a child, etc. Each topic is addressed in different ways, such as creative writing, creating mood boards, exploring through movement, and each meeting ends with a discussion of each individual topic. At the workshop at Studio ALTA, the gathered mothers will have the opportunity to address a specific topic related to motherhood through various creative tasks, share their own experiences, and take some time for themselves.
