Information

The performance Tremula features artist Eliška Brtnická and dancer Martina Hajdyla who meet on stage for the first time. With director Jana Stárková, they search for intersections of their artistic approaches manifested in pure physicality, further develop in collaboration with music composer Ian Mikyska and visual artist Pavel Havrda.

We are entering a situation already underway. Are we at the beginning or the end? Last tremors, dying fire… elemental scourge or ecstatic state? A state of total happiness or immeasurable suffering?
Or just a fatigue from the dreary nature of our everyday life? You need to rest. Stay in place for a while.
Where a fire was burning just a moment ago, there is peace now. Bodies feel exhausted, time has slowed down.
Rest at last. But how long can one go on?
Living organisms perceive time differently. Humans strive to be as fast and productive as possible, but they value consistency and permanence. The root system from which we grow forms the foundation of our existence. We support each other and form communities. And while we search for a path, our malleable bodies get stronger, becoming stable supports.

let it wither, fall down.

If I wither like that

When I wither, shall I fall down?”
