Information

Daniel Vlček
 *1978, Strakonice

Daniel Vlček is a visual artist and a musician. In his work, both artistic expressions mingle and influence each other. Inspirations for his drawings, paintings and sound installations originally arouse from techno, noise, breakcore and other genres. These influences have gradually disappeared and musical components transformed into his visual works, which are “visual paraphrases of sound phenomena”. The site-specific project for the Living Room Art Space naturally converges drawing and sound thanks to the work with spatial qualities. Drawing comes to life in time and space thanks to the 3D projection, virtual reality and live music by the electroacoustic duo ba:zel (Dan Vlček and Ewelina Chiu). This project was created in cooperation with Vojtěch Rada and gallery Na Shledanou.

Living Room Art Space

The new exhibition program of Studio ALTA.

In the environment of separated art circles and genres, different fields very rarely interconnect, even though they are very close and can enrich each other. Studio ALTA appeals for this connection by creating the new exhibition program in the Living Room.

Living Room Art Space is inspired by the experimental and interdisciplinary character of this cultural center in Holešovice. During its first year, the program will present artists, who oscillate between different (not only) artistic fields. They connect visual arts with music, poetry, movement, science and others. In the little chaotic and non-gallery space in the Living Room, they explore the possibilities of visual presentation, interdisciplinary and social communication.
