Information
Heart to Heart (work in progress) explores the heart as an anatomical, physical, and emotional space. Through somatic exploration, the work shapes a choreographic language inspired by phrases such as “dance your heart out,” “my heart dropped,” and “falling in love.” Dancers Lenka Vořechovská and Aneta Bočková, together with sound designer Ester Grohová, follow their own pulses and transform them into movement that circulates, synchronises, and desynchronises.
Heart to Heart is a continuation of the series WASHAWAY – dance and sound performances that engage with the phenomenon of liquidity. Blood runs through our veins and connects us to the collective experience of being alive.
Imagine a person resting their palm on your chest. Imagine them holding your heart. Imagine that we are all entangled in one shared, universal pulsation.

Dance artist Lenka Vořechovská (she/her) focuses her work on expanded performative formats, collective creation, and dance dramaturgy. Focusing on the intersection of nature and culture, she explores various somatic and choreographic practices that guide practitioners and/or audiences to shift from an everyday state to one that allows for and invites rest, complexity, and compassion.

Ester Grohová (she/her), also known as expandcollapse, graduated from a classical music program and the CAS FAMU program. She creates restful zones and dreamlike worlds, weaving collective performative rituals. She works with multichannel sound, field recordings, and sound collages enriched by vocals or clarinet—fantastical utopian worlds on the edge of the intimate, without verbal narration. She explores themes of resistance, collective care, utopia, and intersectional feminism. She is the creator of the Garden of Desires series, a member of the Seaslugs collective, and a member of the band Dohor.
