This performance is a result of cooperation of dancer Kristína Chmelíková, actress Mária Danadová and choreographer Zuzana Burianová. In the performance, all artists explore the many shades, strata and positions of women and the female identity. The physical material was therefore formed based on associations of femininity, brutality and irony that create clear messages. Authentic recordings of interviews with different women create a sound collage that is interconnected with the physical material; these symbols, original music and traces of gender stereotypes create a clear and concrete statement.

Versus is not just a militant feminist manifesto. The questions that the performance asks and the answers that the artists interpret, are very gentle and incredibly feminine. The performers don´t complain; they reveal their emotions and they create a relationship with the audience through a very open sharing of the most secret disappointments and joys. “You are not a woman. Even inside me, you don´t sense anything feminine about you. Only when I speak, my words give you the feminine grammatical gender and my expressions outline a woman. I must talk about you with tenderness and loving dream and to find a voice to do so, you have to be addressed as a woman.”
