The art magazine Artalk.cz, founded in 2008, was the first Czech (and later Czech-Slovak) online platform focused on critical reflection on contemporary visual art. On a daily basis, it brings up reviews, information and opinions on art events and its institutions, documents and archives ongoing projects, supports the theoretical discussion in the field of art and establishes relations with the editors of foreign magazines (international project East Art Mags). Annually Artalk publishes a special collection of theoretical essays (Artalk Revue) about contemporary political and social issues such as ecology, feminism or decolonialism.
