ABOUT THE RESIDENCIES

The aim of the residencies is to support the identity of Studio ALTA as a working space, where you can try different artistic approaches without the pressure of the outcome, with the possibility to find an impasse and learn from your mistakes. The luxury of free research is limited only by your own creativity.

Residencies take place twice a year – in February for professional artists (open call in September) and during summer for students (open call in January).

Selected projects are granted an intense two-weeklong residency, the possibility to present a work-in-progress and the possibility of further cooperation, such as coproduction, including the project in our program etc.
