4PM / Exhibition Grounds / LOOP by ALTA

A simple dance pattern, which can anybody join according to his or her own possibilities and preferences.

4:45 PM / Exhibition Grounds / tYhle: LEGOrythm (work in progress)

The physical theatre company tYhle in cooperation with Studio ALTA is preparing a street performance LEGOrythm. This performance is inspired by sports, Olympic games and the Spartakiad. It shows a strange group of sportsmen, who desperately try to reach their goals in an unexpected way. The performance balances on the edge of the absurd, it tries to free the performers in an amusing way and release them from strict rules. The aim is to get closer to pure abstraction, motion without target and dance.

LEGOrythm is created by Marie Gourdain in cooperation with performers Florent Golfier, Lukáš Karásek, Soňa Ferienčiková, Štěpánka Mancová and Martin Talaga.

The premiere takes place on May 28th within the Family Day in Prague 7.

5:30 PM – 7PM / Exhibition Grounds / presentations of different dance theatres and companies, such as theatre Ponec, Children´s studio Altík, the Bejvávalo folk ensemble and more

Theatre PONEC will present the variable ensemble Moving Orchestra. In their performance, dancer Zuzana Sýkorová and trumpeter Petr Vrba will enliven and reveal the secrets of the place. The improvised performance will arise in front of the spectators, inspired by the present moment, it´s atmosphere and space.

The oldest children from the Children´s studio Altík (led by Markéta Pucová) have prepared a new choreography entitled „Cup Song“. Also the younger children will present themselves with a work-in-progress „Some Stuff“ (led by Jana Novorytová) and „Our Universe“ (led by Romana Packová).

The folk ensemble Bejvávalo is a company founded by elderly dancers – the oldest one was born in 1940, the youngest one in 1971. These former folk dancers keep the desire to dance just for joy in their hearts. So why not give it away also to the others?
